About This Spot

Stepping into Luc's Diamond Restaurant feels like entering a quietly cherished neighborhood spot where familiar faces and genuine warmth meet thoughtfully prepared food. Nestled on Broadway Street in Raymond, this humble Chinese eatery unfolds at a comforting, unhurried pace — a place where the small details, like the friendly nod of an owner or the soft clatter of plates, shape the rhythm of the experience.

Inside, the atmosphere is simple and inviting, reflecting its mom-and-pop roots rather than the gloss of a polished chain. The mood is one of easy familiarity, where locals gather not just for a meal but for a moment of connection — and where the kitchen’s steady hum whispers promises of rich, balanced flavors crafted with care.

Luc’s Diamond invites you to savor dishes that are both approachable and thoughtfully crafted, from sizzling rice plates that arrive steaming hot to seafood offerings that highlight fresh textures and bright, home-style sauces. Each bite carries a sense of tradition, with those classic comforting touches that feel like a well-kept secret in the heart of Alberta.

What sets this restaurant apart is not just the food, but the human moments threaded through the experience. The owners, known to step away briefly when life calls, cultivate a space where everyone feels like part of a quiet community. This is a place where calling ahead reassures as much as walking in, where patience is part of the dining ritual, and where every visit feels like coming home to a familiar table.

Whether you’re a longtime local or a curious traveler, Luc's Diamond Restaurant offers a grounded, sincere experience rooted in heartfelt hospitality and a deep appreciation for authentic flavors that linger gently on the palate and memory.

Ignore the negative reviews. This place is a gem. It's a mom & pop operation and the food is excellent. Sometimes the owners have to step out and run errands. Not the end of the world. Sometimes they go on vacation. They always put a sign on the door if they're going to be closed. They're not really internet users so don't rely on the google for details. Call ahead to be sure. Nobody who eats here on a regular basis reads or cares about these reviews anyway. But if you're from out of town and unsure let me put your mind at ease. For the freshest food order off the menu. If you have more than 3 people it makes more sense to order off the menu anyway since you'll get fresher food than the buffet, you'll get exactly what you want, and it will cost the same or less than the buffet. For example, four of us ate dinner here the other day and we ordered lemon chicken which is never on the buffet. We ordered 4 dishes and dinner was cheaper than if the four of us had ordered the buffet. The savings really add up if you have 5 or more. I've eaten here dozens of times. My favorites are cantonese noodles with pork, lemon chicken, sweet & sour pork, wonton soup, and chicken balls sauce on the side. The wanton soup is the best I've ever had. The broth is amazing. Don't hesitate. You'll love this place. Just remember you're in a town of 4000 people. Not a michelin star restaurant in Beijing.

Always the best Chinese food. We’ve never had better Chinese food anywhere we’ve lived. Try the salt and pepper pork chops with your next order…you won’t regret it. Super nice owners as well.

I don't understand why the rating is so low because this is the best Chinese food in Alberta! Nothing in Calgary even is this good. And the owner is so friendly!

Always has great flavour! Better than the Chinese restaurants in Okotoks. Owners are very nice as well. We have been here many times and it is always delicious.

Excellent!! I don’t remember when I had this fresh, flavourful, just what I was hoping for restaurant meal. I have had other good experiences with these fine folks but today was exceptional. Thank you
